Practicing hand balance poses over the past two weeks has changed my perspective.
In recent years, I have witnessed many yogis injure their lumbar spine (L4, L5 disc slipped) and wrists. Therefore, I am very cautious about practicing them (as an artist – oh~ my precious wrists) or teaching them (since 2010) in class.
Over the past two weeks, perhaps due to the “interesting” alignment of the planets
(or the harsh yoga teacher
), I somehow started practicing hand balance poses , which I wasn’t willing to try before (oh, my precious wrists).
During the practice, I realized that practicing hand balance poses requires not only strength in our core and arms but also confidence in oneself, as well as a heightened sense of physical body awareness.
I’m trying, but I’m also very aware of how my wrists or neck feel, my breath, and even my thoughts.

Of course, pampering my physical body afterward has become a little ritual in my daily life now. Just feeling grateful.
Sending love & gratitude to my teachers, students, family, friends, and my dear self.![]()
